Nicola Docherty & Mia McAulay – Scotland

• Scotland 3-4 Switzerland – International Friendly
Scotland were back on the pitch for the first time since early June as they participated in two friendly matches over the last week.
They firstly made the trip to Northern Africa to take on Morocco, with Gers skipper captain Nicola Docherty starting in a 2-1 away win with Mia McAulay on the bench.
Melissa Andreatta’s side were then back on home soil as they took on the Swiss at Dunfermline’s East End Park on Tuesday evening, but were on the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller with the Light Blues defender again featuring for a further 86 minutes.
Alice Griffiths – Wales
• Wales 1-2 Australia - International Friendly
• Wales 2-5 Poland – International Friendly
Alice headed into the first international break of the season full of confidence having scored her first ever competitive career goal prior to the stoppage in the season in the win over Hamilton.
Her nation were firstly on the pitch last Saturday, with the midfielder on the bench in a 2-1 home defeat to Australia played at the Cardiff City Stadium.
They were back in action on Tuesday, with the 24-year-old earning a start for her nation, featuring for the opening 46 minutes as they were beaten 5-2 at home to Poland.
Telma Ivarsdottir – Iceland
• Northern Ireland 0-2 Iceland – Nations League Play-Off First Leg
• Iceland 3-0 Northern Ireland – Nations League Play-Off Second Leg
Telma was part of the Iceland squad over the break who faced off against Northern Ireland in the Nations League promotion/relegation play-off.
The goalkeeper’s nation put themselves in a commanding position with a 2-0 away success on Friday, before the second leg took place yesterday with the original time of Tuesday’s match postponed due to snow in Reykjavik.
Iceland closed the tie out impressively with a 3-0 home success to preserve their league A position ahead of 2027 World Cup qualifying, with the shot stopper on the bench for both outings.
Quinty Sabajo – Suriname
Quinty spent the international break with the Suriname national team for the first time during their training camp based in the Netherlands.
The midfielder will be able to represent the nation due to the allegiance of her father and will be hopeful of involvement in their upcoming CONCAF Championship qualifying matches at the end of next month as she looks to earn her first cap.
Li Mengwen – China
Li currently remains on international duty in her homeland and is due to return in mid-November.
The defender joined the Light Blues at the beginning of September as a free agent having left Brighton & Hove Albion. She made her debut and sole appearance so far in Edinburgh against Hibs and will be keen to build on her minutes when she links back up with the squad.
Eilidh Austin, Fallon Connolly-Jackson & Jodi McLeary – Scotland Under-23’s
• Scotland Under-23’s 0-3 Sweden Under-23’s - International Friendly
• Italy Under-23’s 1-3 Scotland Under-23’s - International Friendly
Three young Gers were involved as Scotland Under-23’s played out a pair of friendly matches over the past week.
They firstly headed to Raith’s Stark’s Park where they were beaten 3-0 by Sweden. In a game where there were starts for the trio with midfielder McLeary captaining the side.
Things turned positively for the Scots in impressive fashion in their Monday trip to Florence, with Austin and McLeary again in from the off, as Michael McArdle’s team claimed a 3-1 away success in Italy.
Laura Berry, Sophie Townsley & Sophie Black – Scotland Under-19’s
• Scotland Under-19’s 1-1 Slovakia Under-19’s - International Challenge Match
• Scotland Under-19’s 1-2 Slovakia Under-19’s – International Challenge Match
A few further three Light Blues youth players were involved in Scotland Under-19’s friendly outings against Slovakia played out in Bratislava.
There were starts for all three in the first meeting between the teams, with striker Laura Berry captaining the side and getting herself on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw.
The nations met again on Sunday afternoon, with Berry and Sophie Townsley in the lineup. The young forward found the back of the net for the second time running, but the Scots fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat as they ramped up preparations for their UEFA European Championship qualifiers next month.
May Cruft & Jess Pegram – England Under-19’s
• England Under-19’s 6-0 Estonia Under-19’s – U19 European Championships Qualifier
• England Under-19’s 4-0 Greece Under-19’s – U19 European Championships Qualifier
• Austria Under-19’s 1-1 England Under-19’s - U19 European Championships Qualifier
Rangers pair of May Cruft and Jess Pegram were involved for England at youth level as their respective European championship qualifying campaign got underway in Tallinn, Estonia.
It was the perfect debut for Cruft as she marked her first cap at that age group with a goal in a 6-0 win, with defender Pegram also in from the off as she helped her nation to a clean sheet in the process.
The duo were on the bench in Saturday’s win over Greece, before the 16-year-old midfielder regained her place in the starting lineup in Tuesday afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Austria as England secured their place in round two of qualifying after a productive break where they topped the group.
