Zoe Ness Expecting A Different Challenge

ZOE Ness is hoping Rangers can finish 2021 on a high as they face Spartans on Sunday in their final match before the winter break.

Malky Thomson’s side travel to Edinburgh in the Park’s Motor Group SWPL and Ness is expecting a tough test in the capital.

Speaking exclusively to RangersTV ahead of the match, she said: “The last time we played Spartans we were very dominant across the full pitch but I think they will have been away and looked at that and they'll change a few things so I am expecting a different challenge from the last time.

“It is a tough place to go and it is the last game before Christmas so we want to finish on a high and finish this bit of the season as we started it so nice and positive hopefully.”

With three weeks since their last match, Ness says the squad have been taking the positives from extra time on the training pitch as they continue to push themselves.

She continued: “It feels like we have gone back into another pre-season but it has been good, the coaches have been keeping us on our toes and mixing up training so it has been really competitive.

“Momentum is difficult but we have been able to take the experiences we have had over the last year and although we are not having a competitive game we can still keep our levels high.

“It has been a right test, it has been competitive and for us as a team we are ready for the Spartans game.”
