The striker had been out of action since last October but looked on-form as she scored three in Rangers’ 5-1 victory over Hearts.
Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “I am over the moon, I think for me to hit the ground running was quite important and collectively as a team to start as we mean to go on was a big thing.
“It has definitely been a long time coming so I am really glad to be back. I know I can still get more and give more in performances.
“I think you can see how happy I am to get back playing. I've obviously got more to give but it is a good start and I am really excited to get back.”
Ness feels Rangers will only get better as the squad continue to develop their relationships on the pitch.
She continued: “I think Hearts came out with their own game plan, they were well organised and wanted to frustrate us which I think a lot of teams are going to try and do.

“For us it was about matching that and obviously then being able to play our own game which you can see from the result is what we have done.
“I think as games go on you will start to see relationships getting stronger and the link up play being a lot smoother.
“I think then teams will then start to figure out how we play and our style of play but it is about us recognising that and adding a different dimension.
“Across the field you can see the training that is getting put in and how we came back in such a good shape.
