Jodi McLeary struck the solitary goal in the contest as the Gers ensured they will head into the international break at the top of the division.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, Crichton commented: “It was difficult conditions, blustery, the pitch didn’t move very well, and I thought we allowed it to dictate the entire game.
“We huffed and puffed, had spells where we looked okay, moments where we forced it, had too many turnovers, but the reality is that we get the same three points for this game that we do for any other game.
“It turns into an edgy final five or ten minutes within the game; a lot of stoppages, stop-start, and not a very enjoyable game.
“We were comfortable in the game, and I don’t think Jenna [Fife] had a save to make.
“We know Thistle are really stuffy, hardworking, and never give up the ghost.
"There was only a one-goal margin, so they were always chasing, and there were moments where we gave them too many opportunities with free-kicks around the penalty box.
"You get the same for this as you do for beating Celtic last weekend.
“The reality is that you don’t want to be hanging on in games, and it certainly felt as if we were hanging on despite having so much control all afternoon.
“It was a frustrating afternoon, but the reality is that we’ve come off the back of an unbelievable run, a huge 14 days with five games within that.”
McLeary netted twice in last weekend’s Old Firm triumph, and she was among the goalscorers once again to continue her fine start to the campaign.
Striding onto an Eva Hendle pull-back, she swept a composed finish into the bottom corner on her unfavoured left side.
Crichton added: “The finish is brilliant. Jodi is on a brilliant run of form, and I’m really pleased for her.
“She had a frustrating end to last season and a frustrating pre-season, but I’m so impressed with the levels she’s at, and we’re still trying to build her in terms of her minutes.
“It’s a huge credit to her and how she’s gone about her rehab in the last number of months.
“Sometimes as a player you hit that little purple patch, and for whatever reason everything she touches turns to gold.”
