The defender, who came through the club’s Academy, joined from English Championship side Bristol City for an undisclosed fee last summer.

He made his first-team debut in Rangers colours in September 2017 and went on to make over 50 appearances for the club before Derek McInnes signed him permanently for Aberdeen in 2021.

The 28-year-old was most recently a key figure for Bristol City, where he spent three seasons.
