Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsy was a deadline-day signing in September 2026, joining the club on an initial four-year-deal from Portland Timbers.

Having progressed through the ranks of Mineros de Guayana in his home country as a youngster, Kelsy made the switch to Uruguayan outfit Boston River in January 2023.

Before he could make an appearance for the club, he moved to Europe for the first time when he joined Shakhtar.

The forward was on the scoresheet just 13 minutes into his UEFA Champions League debut when he netted against Porto as a teenager.

Kelsy had a spell in the MLS on loan at FC Cincinnati, before signing for Portland Timbers in January 2025, where he scored 16 goals.
