McGuire is a product of the Rangers Academy and signed professional terms in January 2025.

He first appeared for an Under-18s side at the age of 14 in a Scottish Youth Cup clash against Fraserburgh in November 2023.

The teenager appeared on the substitutes' bench on several occasions in the UEFA Europa League in the same season, while he also played a prominent role in the Under-19s’ CAS Elite League title success last season.

His performances between the posts at youth level earned him the 2025/26 Academy Player of the Year award.
