RANGERS Academy can today announce Bailey Rice has signed a contract extension at the club until May 2026.
The 16-year-old made his first-team debut for the Gers in a 3-0 victory over Livingston in February, before making further appearances for Michael Beale’s side across pre-season.
The young midfielder has also captained Scotland Under-17s during his time at the club, making the step up to the Scotland Under-19s squad in the most recent international break.
Rice has combined his involvement in the first-team squad this campaign with appearances in the B Team’s varied games programme.
Manager, Michael Beale, commented: “We are delighted that Bailey has extended his contract. This is recognition of the development he has made since joining the club and in making the step-up to the first team during the pre-season period.
“Bailey is aware that he has a long road ahead in terms of further improvement, and maintaining the same excellent mentality will be key to him fulfilling his full potential.”
