RANGERS can today announce that Emma Brownlie will depart the club to join Hearts Women when her Rangers contracts expire on July 1.
Emma joined Rangers in 2019 and went on to become a key player in Malky Thomson’s squad over her three seasons at the club.
The versatile defender made history with the club after being crowned undefeated SWPL1 champions for the first time this season to end Glasgow City’s dominant 14-year run.
Brownlie became a favourite amongst the fans and leaves with a great career at the club.
Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager, Amy McDonald, said: “Emma was one of the first players we signed as a professional when we embarked on our journey in 2019. She has contributed significantly on and off the pitch.
“I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to Emma and wish her the very best of luck in her future endeavours.”
Emma departs the club as an undefeated league Champion and everyone at Rangers wishes her the best for the future.
