RANGERS Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Scotland International Jane Ross from Manchester United.
The striker, who has over 130 caps for the national team, has spent the past six years playing in the FA Women’s Super League with Manchester City, West Ham and Manchester United.
She lifted the Women’s Super League title with Manchester City in 2016.
On signing for Rangers, Ross said: “I am excited to be here and looking forward to getting started.
“Rangers are a team who are growing and improving every season so for me growing up as a Rangers supporter it was an easy decision.
“Having played down south for a number of years now, professionalism is something I value and it is great to see a club like Rangers go to that level and the league in general is continuing to grow and improve.”
Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald commented: “We are delighted to have secured the signing of Jane from Manchester United.
“She will bring valuable experience to the squad with a number of years behind her in the Women’s Super League and with the Scotland National Team.
“The signing of Jane, again shows the ambitions of the club and it is fantastic to be able to secure a player of her calibre ahead of an exciting 2021/22 campaign.
Women’s Head Coach Malky Thomson added: “Jane is a fantastic addition to the squad and I am delighted that she has joined the club. She is a very experienced striker who will be a great influence on and off the pitch.
“She has played at the top level for a number of years and those experiences can only benefit Jane and the rest of the squad going forward.
“It is important we continue to learn and grow as a group and Jane will be a vital addition in helping us do that.”
