The young Ger reflected on the squad’s winning performance today and outlined that the challenges faced by the squad in the second half.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following their impressive win, he said: “It was a game of two halves.
“I thought the boys were brilliant in the first half to get the four goals, they [Dalbeattie] had a bit of a momentum at the start of the second half.
“They got a good few corners and ultimately got a goal then a second after it. I thought after that, we grew back into the game and started doing what we were doing to see the game out and get our fifth.
“When they got their two it’s important, we didn’t let them get the third, it can completely change the game. It’s always brilliant to get on the scoresheet when you can, five goals today and I’m glad to get one for myself.”
Rangers B team will face Dumbarton in the next round of the SPFL Trust Trophy on Tuesday evening and Lyall outlined preparations ahead of that anticipated fixture.
He added: “It’s always one game at a time. We’ll be in tomorrow to focus right on the next match to go and win the next game when it comes.”
