Several of Rangers’ Under-19s squad will be part of the young Scots setup during the first international break of the season.
The nation will take part in the Slovenia Nations Cup kicking off later this afternoon with a game against the hosts, with further outings against both Kazakhstan and the UAE to follow.
The matches will serve as preparation for the qualifiers for next summer's European Championships which get underway in November, with Scotland in a group with England, Lithuania and Latvia.
Josh Gentles – Wales Under-19s
Wales Under-19s v Austria Under-19s – Saturday 6 September – Friendly – Kick-off 19:00
Wales Under-19s v Belgium Under-19s - Tuesday 9 September – Friendly – Kick-off 19:00
The young striker will be part of the Wales squad that will begin preparations for next summer’s Under-19s Euros with a pair of friendly matches played in Colwyn Bay.
Gentles recently joined Raith Rovers on loan as part of the Gers’ cooperation agreement and will be hopeful of gametime for his nation at youth level across the next week.
Max Cameron, Aiden Crilly and Ben Hutton – Scotland Under-17s
Scotland Under-17s v Serbia Under-17s – Thursday 4 September – Friendly – Kick-off 15:00
Portugal Under-17s v Scotland Under-17s– Saturday 6 September – Friendly – Kick-off 11:00
Italy Under-17s v Scotland Under-17s – Tuesday 9 September – Friendly – Kick-off 10:00
Three young Gers will be part of the Scotland Under-17s squad that will take part in an international friendly tournament in Portugal over the break.
They are firstly in action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Serbia, with further tests to come against both the hosts and Italy in the coming days.
The matches will give Scotland some time on the pitch together ahead of their UEFA Under-17 EURO 2026 qualifiers kicking off at the end of October back on home soil.
