Aiden McCallion and Lewis Stewart Join Queen's Park On Loan

RANGERS Academy can today confirm Aiden McCallion and Lewis Stewart have joined Queen’s Park as part of our loan co-operation agreement with the Scottish Championship side.

Midfielder McCallion, 18, made his Rangers first-team debut on the final day of last season in an away victory over Falkirk, while winger Stewart, 19, spent the last campaign on loan at Alloa Athletic, where he was crowned the club’s Player of the Year.

The loan co-operation system allows players aged 16-21 who are eligible to represent the Scotland national teams to join a lower-league club but be able to move between the parent and co-operation club throughout the season.

It is a first senior loan for McCallion, who has progressed through the Academy from a young age and captained the Under-19s to the league title last term.

Stewart, meanwhile, recently signed a contract extension at the club until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, with the option for an additional year, and will make the step up to the second tier after a highly productive loan spell in League One last time out.

Everyone at Rangers wishes both players well for the season ahead.
