Alex Lowry Signs New Contract

RANGERS are delighted to announce 18 year-old Alex Lowry has signed a contract extension with the club, keeping him at the club until 2025.

Academy graduate Lowry has performed superbly for the B team this season, with his performances being of such a high level that he has gone on to make four appearances for the first-team under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

He scored on his debut against Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup back in January, and won his first start in the Scottish Premiership victory over Livingston a few days later.

A regular at age-group level for Scotland also, Lowry has committed his future to the Light Blues for at least the next three seasons.

Speaking after signing his new deal, a delighted Lowry said: “I want to thank Ross Wilson, Craig Mulholland and the boss for giving me the chance and for showing faith in me.

“I can only thank them and hopefully I can repay them by kicking on now and getting more and more games and good performances under my belt for this great club.”

Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, added: “Alex has progressed really well across the season and we are pleased to have rewarded his development with this contract extension.

“Alex is part of an exciting group of young players who we have progressed to the first-team group from the Academy.

“He has already shown our fans moments of what he can do and we are sure there will be more of them to enjoy in the future as he continues to work hard on all aspect of his development.
