RANGERS Football Club are today delighted to announce Scott Arfield has signed a new, one-year extension to his current contract.
Vastly experienced Arfield, 33, initially joined Rangers back in the summer of 2018 and has gone on to make 185 appearances while scoring 34 goals in the process.
While contributing enormously on the park under both Steven Gerrard and now Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Arfield is also a key influence in the dressing room with his infectious personality and leadership skills.
His continually strong performances have seen him rewarded with a new deal in a boost to Rangers ahead of their incredibly exciting end to the current season.
Speaking after agreeing his new deal, Arfield commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have signed this new deal.
“The next couple of weeks are so exciting for us with the potential silverware on offer, and also the opportunity to secure Champions League football.
“When you get to this stage in your career, your family is the most important thing, and I couldn’t imagine moving them again. To be staying put at Rangers is just fantastic for all of us.”
Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, continued: “We are pleased that Scott has extended his stay with Rangers.
“We agreed this extension a few weeks ago but Scott naturally wanted to give full concentration to our game schedule ahead of formally signing this morning.”
