The young Gers secured a victory against Dumbarton last night in the first round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
The Light Blues youngster spoke exclusively to RangersTV after the tense game at Dumbarton Stadium on Wednesday night and highlighted how he thought the team performed against the League 1 side, saying: “I think we started really well but near the end of the game we started to tire because we had two games in the one week. It’s a great result for us and we will take it into the next round.
“Dumbarton came into the game near the end. We just need learn when to kill the game and play our game, we’ve seen that in our previous games through our analysis.
Lowry underlined how playing in the Lowland League and training with more experienced players is to the team’s development. He added: “They make it easier for us [Katic and Hastie], you can see that a few of our goals came through them. It’s good to play with them.”
The squad have a busy fixture list coming up but are excited for the next round of the Challenge Cup. Lowry added: “We’re looking forward to it! We’ve still got a league game to go so we will think about that first and then we’ll move on that game.”
