Charity: Bears Up Ben Lomond with Alex Rae

TACKLE a classic Munro in the company of fellow Rangers fans and former midfielder Alex Rae by signing up for the Rangers Charity Foundation’s Bears Up Ben Lomond challenge!

Ben Lomond is Scotland’s most southerly Munro and rewards walkers with amazing views of the entire length of Loch Lomond and its islands, plus views to the north all the way to the Highlands.

This challenge will take place on Sunday 5 September and is one of the Foundation’s first True Blue Hero events this season to qualify for its new 150th anniversary medal. Participants who raise over £150 will become a True Blue Hero and receive this new collector’s medal.

The registration fee for this event is just £15 and due to limited spaces, all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £150. You can register and secure your place HERE. Following registration, the Foundation will send you a short information pack containing advice on kit and preparation.

The Foundation has arranged a bus from Ibrox Stadium to take participants to and from the walk, or alternatively you can make your own way to Balmaha. The charity has also arranged for members of the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team to take part in the climb on the day to assist walkers.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy some of Scotland’s finest scenery in a challenging but rewarding climb with fellow fans – all whilst supporting your Foundation! Every penny raised will help the Foundation continue to be a force for good in the local community and beyond on behalf of the Rangers Family.

Please note, due to the nature of this challenge, participants must be 16 years or over.

*The Rangers Charity Foundation is committed to thanking and rewarding all its True Blue Heroes. However, the charity cannot confirm exactly when or how this will be possible owing to Covid-19 restrictions. As a minimum, all True Blue Heroes will receive a medal, pin badge and letter.
