With professional players, an experienced team of backroom staff and world-class facilities on their side, Amy says the squad and coaches are ready to work hard everyday to achieve success on the pitch.
Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “You can't drive up to the blue gates and come into this environment and not recognise it as a world-class training facility.
“I think having the opportunity to train in an environment where you are surrounded by professionals from both the men's first-team and the B-team is great.
“It’s not just for the girls but for everyone including the staff to be able to pull from all levels of experience from the likes of Ross Wilson and Craig Mulholland. Graeme Murty has been in and around training both with the Women and the Girls’ academy.
“I think that every day we are going to be completely relentless in being able to achieve our aims and ambitions to go and compete for the league.
“We need to make sure that we are working as hard as we possibly can to achieve success on the pitch.
“As much as we are looking at the team as a collective we want every single player to be able to show that they have developed in different aspects of their game so we don't want anybody within the programme to be at the same point when we finish the season as to where we start.”
Ahead of the new SWPL season, Kevin Murphy has been brought in as Malky Thomson’s assistant, a pairing which Amy believes will prove vital for the squad.
She continued: “It was huge for us because Malky comes with such a wide range of experience from English Premiership and Scottish Premiership.
“He has developed really great working relationships not just with Malky but the wider staff and with that comes more innovation.
“He obviously had great learning from Manchester City and has had a lot of experience in the women's game which allows us to build more momentum and understanding and be able to implement more in the women's and girls programme.
“I think anyone who knows Malky knows he is just an infectious character. In terms of his tactical awareness and his training sessions he is on point all the time which means it is creating an even better environment for the girls to be able to go and develop and become the best that they can.”
Now back at the training, the staff are coming up with new ways to maximise the limited time they have together due to Coronavirus restrictions.
Amy explained: “It has been great, I think we are really fortunate that we have got some of the best facilities and we have got great coaches so it is an environment where the girls will be able to develop and thrive in.
“Some of the players will say that they have been in pre-season since January so it is really important that we balance that out.
“Everything that we do now is with the ball and being able to familiarise themselves again with the teachings that we had before and how we want the Rangers style of play to run through the team.
“I think that is key for us moving forward but every single player has been fantastic in their commitment and dedication to that.”
