Indeed, the visit of Bohemians’ first-team represents another different challenge for Gers B this season, with the visitors boasting a wealth of experience.
Speaking to the official Rangers website to preview the clash, the teenage forward commented: “I am buzzing. It is always good to test yourself against first-team opposition.
“Obviously, they have been playing the game for longer than most of us so they sort of know where to be and what to do. Just the physical demands as well, bigger and more physical lads.
“We always do prepare prior to the game. We have been watching videos, analysing them, and it will be good to test ourselves against them.”
The Englishman, who made his first-team debut back in 2022, celebrated his 18th birthday just last week.
And Stevens believes the side can tap into their experience of playing senior opposition at various points this season, notably in their run to the fourth round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
He added: “They have definitely prepared us. It will be a sort of similar opposition; they will be a physical team.
“A lot of them will have probably played together for quite a few years, and with that sort of chemistry that they have it is good to test yourself against teams like that.
“Cup games give you a lot of experience under pressure, so playing teams like Alloa and a few fans coming down as well adds to that sort of build up to the game.
“It has been a good mix of opposition [this season] so I look forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings.”
