The Light Blues will return to SWPL action this afternoon off the back of booking their place in the Sky Sports Cup final and next round of the Scottish Cup throughout January.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of today’s fixture against Aberdeen, the winger has reflected on the aftermath of the semi-final victory and looked towards their return to league duties.
She commented: “It has been a really good week. A good week of training and the spirits have been high coming off the back of that victory on Friday night.
“We are really looking forward to it, when you come off the back of a victory you just want to play again. You want to go out and perform and put in the hard work. That is what we get to do in training throughout the week and we look forward to the game.
“We will focus on the league games that are in between but it is something that we will be at the back of our mind that we have got coming up is a cup final.
“It is obvious for us as player it is the kind of games that we want to play in. It is really exciting and for the club for us to get there it is a massive achievement. We are really looking forward to it but we will focus on what is to come beforehand.”
The 24-year-old says the squad will take one game at a time after they booked their place in the final and target silverware in this second half of the campaign.
She continued: “It is massive, we came in after the Christmas break, everyone was fresh and raring to go. We have got really good team spirit; we all enjoy being here so it is important that when we come in that we work hard for each other and I think that reflects on the pitch on a Sunday.
“That you can see that the team really comes together and the coaching staff. It is important to get those wins as players it is what we want.
“As people say you take one game a time but it is so true. At the end of the day to get where want to be every game and every week matters just as much as the other. We need to go in with that winning mentality, put on a performance and we will see where it takes us in the end.”
The Light Blues will be a targeting a 14th league victory in a row when they head to the Balmoral Stadium this afternoon and Hay wants the side to fully focus on themselves as they target another positive result on the road.
She added: “We are obviously expecting them to try and play some football. That is what we have been looking towards, what they are going to play like and how we are going to perform to our best against their setup.
“We have been preparing in terms of what they might play like, but we will focus on what we are going to do.”
