RANGERS Academy are today pleased to announce that Ashton Patton has signed his first professional contract.
Patton, 16, is part of the Academy’s schoolboy programme at Boclair Academy and has completed the journey through the club’s youth ranks.
The youngster will continue his development with the Under-17s group in the campaign ahead as the side look to make it a successful season.
Interim Head of Academy, David McCallum, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Ashton into our full-time programme here at the Rangers Academy.
“He is a player with great potential and one who is hungry to improve every day on the training pitch, and we believe he is in the perfect setting currently to continue his progression as a young professional.
"We’re excited to see him make the step into a full-time environment where he will be supported and pushed by our strong coaching unit."
