RANGERS Under-17s recently met up with Hall of Famer John ‘Bomber’ Brown at Ibrox as the nine-in-a-row hero shared stories from his career to inspire the next generation at the club.
Bomber offered an insight into what it requires to represent Rangers before leading the squad around a tour of the Rangers Museum.
He said of the experience: “I was able to put over to the boys about not having any regrets doing their apprenticeship over the next two or three years.
“I told them to give it everything they have because they’re all decent players – and they wouldn’t be signing for Rangers if they weren’t – and it’s down to them to go and achieve it.
“It won’t be because of the coach or anyone else; it’ll be their attitude.”
Under-17s defender, Conor Owen, continued: “We knew who [Bomber] was and what he’s about. It was a great experience being able to ask him some questions and get some advice from him for the future.
“We wouldn’t be here if the first-team wasn’t our aim, so I wouldn’t expect anyone in the Under-17s squad not to have ambitions of the playing for the first-team.”
