OUR OPPONENTS
Stirling Uni head into the match off the back of an impressive 5-2 win over Tranent Juniors in midweek, recovering from going behind early in the game to run out victors and go level on points with the Light Blues ahead of the Saturday clash. Getting back to winning ways in the league having lost 4-2 to leaders Spartans in their previous outing.
Chris Geddes’ men currently reside in fourth place in table, level on points with Rangers with only goal difference separating the sides in the standings.
PREVIOUS MEETING
Rangers ran out 2-1 winners when the sides last met at Forthbank Stadium back in August.
A late first-half goal from Arron Lyall gave the Light Blues the lead at the halftime break, but the hosts fought back in the second 45 to level up proceedings.
Ross McCausland was on hand to net the winner in the final ten minutes of the match as the Gers gained a positive victory away from home in their league campaign.
