CONNOR BARRON says it has been easy to settle into life at Rangers as the midfielder enjoyed another run-out against Ajax this afternoon. e.
The 21-year-old, who signed for the club this summer, says this period is about making sure they are ready for the start of the season, and feels there were positives to take from today’s match.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “It was good to get some more minutes under everybody’s belts, It felt good out there and I think we looked fresh. It is obviously our third game, and it is just about the boys getting minutes on the pitch and implementing the things that the gaffer wants to see from us.
“I think today we saw it at times, there are a few things we need to brush up on of course, but that's what pre-season is for, picking up these little things before going into the season.
“It shows that the boys are listening at training and taking things on board and that is always positive but as I say there are things we need to work on there and we take that on board as well we will debrief on the game.
“We pick up on the positives and the negatives and we go again, and we keep building and keep getting stronger and fitter, so we are 100 per cent ready for the start of the season.”
On settling into the group, Barron continued: “It has been easy to settle in. They are a great bunch of boys and I have had an arm around me straight away. They have taken me right in which is good, so I am looking forward to the start of the season.
“These pre-season camps always help, because you are with everybody 24/7 and it is a bit different when you are in the training ground. It has been brilliant and that is what it is all about putting yourself in there straight away and I have done that so far.”
