The manager said the sacrifice of the fans ‘could never be underestimated’ as over 7000 supporters backed the Light Blues in Perth this evening.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “I am really delighted for our fans because in six days they have travelled to three different venues. We have had over 55,000 fans travelling and it is not easy in January with the cost of Christmas and the cold weather, so I wanted to reward them tonight.
“I have just said that to the players there, the sacrifice our fans make to come and cheer us on and support us can never be underestimated. I am absolutely delighted with the players too, there was a tough schedule thrown in front of us and we have got three wins and we can build-on that for sure.”
Borna Barisic was on target late in the first-half and Beale believes the goal came at a good time to send Rangers in at the break in a positive position.
He continued: “I am delighted for Borna tonight, he regularly gets assists like he did in midweek and obviously it is a fantastic strike this evening. It was excellent play from Fashion Sakala, really direct and the keeper makes a good save onto the post.
“It was an excellent and timely goal as well because we went in at half-time in a good place and in the second-half we had a couple of big moments to increase the lead.
“If we can't do that then we have to keep a clean sheet, that's what the success of this team was built on in the last three or four years so it is important we show we can keep clean sheets regularly.
“We were never really under threat, there was one moment at the end when they were throwing caution to the wind and had extra strikers on, but it wasn’t near the amount of chances that we had. If we can't be ruthless at one end it is important we keep clean sheets and I thought we defended well tonight.”
It was another difficult surface this evening at McDiarmid Park and the manager praised his side for their effort and commitment to come away with three victories in six days.
He added: “There were some tired legs in the second-half, you could see that and we had to ring the changes cleverly without destabilising the team.
“We have had three games in six days and the pitches have been different. They have been very heavy all three of them in different ways. I walked on the pitch at the end to congratulate the players and you see how difficult it is.
“It is alright us from the side wanting a little bit more style at times but in terms of the effort and the commitment to get the job done for the club I am absolutely delighted. Let's hope we get a nice draw now and onwards and upwards in the next round of the cup.”
