The B Team coach spoke exclusively to RangersTV ahead of the squad’s game against Stirling University of Tuesday night at Dumbarton Stadium.
Gilmour reflected on the team’s dominating win against Gretna on Saturday and underlined the way in which the players can get even better ahead of their next game.
He said: “It was a pleasing performance for the majority of the game. There were some spells where we want to improve and work towards as well and we’ll try and put these improvements in place as well against Stirling University on Tuesday night.
“We’re looking forward to the game on Tuesday night and it will be another one that we will be preparing for as we always do. We’re going into a run of fixtures where it’s going to be a game midweek then weekend, but the boys are looking forward to it as always and we’ll anticipate it as it comes.”
Gilmour added how the squad are thriving under the fixture list and how the boys are hungry to keep going: He continued: “The players just want to get to the games as much as they can and play as much as they can. Each of these games are bringing a different challenge for the players and the one of Tuesday will be no different to that.
“Although, it is a busy schedule it is an enjoyable one. If you ask anyone involved with it, they’ll say that it is something that they want to – a big part of these fixtures is that they’ll come at you thick and fast but we are really excited about it as well.”
