The winger was introduced as a second half substitute for her first minutes of the campaign after making her return from injury.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win she was happy to be involved with the squad once again as the Gers marked their return to domestic action with a win.
She said: “It is just such a relief to get back on the pitch. You work hard behind the scenes with the physio to get back to this moment, just to get introduced into this game and we played really well so that goes good as well.
“I was just to go and enjoy it, get touches of the ball. It was my first game this season so obviously it is tough being out with injury but just to be back involved with the girls is great. It is hard watching at the side but I think we played really good football and some of the goals, individual and team goals were really good today.”
The 24-year-old highlighted the patience that the side showed throughout the contest and feels the timing of the second goal to retake the lead was crucial in claiming the victory.
She continued: “I think we started the game really well; we were sharp in our passages of play and we were playing a style of football that we have been working on and I think our patience really came through. Obviously we get the goals in the second half and we look a bit more comfortable but I think from the get-go we were sharp today and that is where the performance comes from.
“We know if we just be patient and work the passages of play that we work on in training that we will find a way to score, but the timing of it you want to go in at the break and you want to be in the lead. The timing of the goal sets the tone for the second half, we came out with the same mentality to go and win.”
The winger is looking ahead to seeing who the holders will face in the next round of the competition and she says full focus now turns to their next fixture as they take on Hamilton in the SWPL next weekend.
She added: “Next round of the cup that is what we came here to do. We are looking forward to seeing who we get in that and then back to league action next week and we go out with the same mentality to win every game we play.”
