The young Gers return to action against the Premier League 2 outfit following the international hiatus, having already faced the blue half of Manchester earlier this season.
Speaking exclusively to the official Rangers website, Budinauckas commented: “It’s going to be a great challenge for us against a good level of opposition. Everyone is really excited for the game.
“The [Man City match] was good. They were a very good team, so it was a great challenge for all the boys in the team. I’m sure this match will be just as good.
The Light Blues have faced a variety of challenges in the opening months of the campaign, combining their Best v Best games programme with participation in the SPFL Trust Trophy and, at a later date, the City of Glasgow Cup.
Budinauckas believes the mixture of opposition is hugely beneficial in his development as a goalkeeper.
He continued: “The best team that I’ve ever played against was when we played Atletico Madrid. We suffered a bit of a heavy defeat, but it was a good learning experience on the day.
“There’s a big difference [as a goalkeeper]. It’s no secret that when you play for Rangers there can be spells where you have little to do, but when you play against a Manchester United or Manchester City you know that you’re going to be kept busy. It will be a good challenge.”
