The midfielder only turned 17 last month but has been a regular in the Gers B side since the turn of the year.
He is part of a particularly young Light Blues side at B Team level this campaign, with seven players born in 2007 featuring in this afternoon’s squad.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, Adamson commented: “I’m loving it so far. I’m playing with the Under-18s and the B Team, and hopefully I can keep going and prove why I should be starting. I want to keep making the step up.
“It’s really good to play in these types of matches, as well as games in the SPFL Trust Trophy. Hopefully I can keep going.
“I’m still young and I have a lot of experience to gather, so long may that continue.
“Playing with players that I know at Under-18s level? I know how they play, and it helps in the same way that they know what I’m going to do. It’s ideal.”
It was a tale of two halves for Rangers as an improved second half display turned the game on its head and delivered a 3-2 triumph.
Adamson says a half-time reminder from the coaching staff was crucial in raising the level of the side.
He added: “I thought we lacked a bit of quality in the first 45 minutes and we had too many turnovers of the ball.
“We gave them chances and we weren’t getting back quick enough.
“We came out in the next 45 minutes with much more quality, scored our goals, and we dominated the second half by a good bit.
“It wasn’t our best half of football, so they gave us a bit of dig and told us we needed to sort it out in the second half.
“There was still 45 minutes to play and a lot can happen. We done that and made a better account of ourselves in the second half.”
