Just three minutes after being introduced as a second half substitute and the game locked level the midfielder was on hand to fire a left footed shot into the bottom corner to set the Gers on their way to a 2-0 win over Spartans and setup a trip to Hampden next month.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the game, she commented: “Just before coming on Jo made sure to emphasize to up the energy a little.
“I knew that I was going to have to work hard on and off the ball and in possession.
“When Liv got the ball I asked for it to feet, was able to turn pretty quickly and I wasn't totally sure to take that shot on my left but it worked out in the end so I am just happy to contribute today.
“We knew that was what we came to do today.
“Obviously we won this cup last year and we knew that it was going to be a hard game against Spartans.
“They stayed pretty honest in the backline but I am glad that we figured out that solution in the second half and now onto the next round.”
The Light Blues had to be patient in their approach before breaking the deadlock with 22 minutes of normal time remaining, with the 23-year-old insisting the team knew what they would be coming up against heading into the contest.
She continued: “We played them not too long ago so we were able to look at some of the things that we struggled with last time, so we knew what to expect this time around.
“Things like trying to drag them out a little bit, their backline stays honest so it was just about trying to figure out ways to find those pockets and threats to the backline.
“Knowing that we were able to recognise that last time and try to bring that into today's game.”
The Gers were able to turn things in their favour following the impact off the bench as the French-American highlighted the squad depth and the part they will all have to play ahead of a big few weeks.
She added: “Importance of the squad? Especially with three-game weeks coming up in the split.
“It is going to be my first time doing it but I have heard a lot about it in the sense that it is going to take a lot of determination, focus and just trying to bring the standard that we take pride in every single game and just trying to bring it every time.
“It is definitely exciting but we know that we can't get too far ahead of ourselves.
“We will focus on next week's game against Motherwell and just take it game by game.”
