Midfielder Chelsea Cornet feels it has been important to keep on top of their game as they look to build on the opening day victory against Hearts.
With five Rangers players away on international duty, Chelsea believes this helps inspire the players remaining at the training ground.
Speaking to RangersTV she said: “It has been great to keep on going and keep on top of things. It is important.
“A few of the girls were away internationally and it's important that the rest of us keep on top of our game and are ready for the next league game.

“Having competition in the squad pushes each individual on the pitch. Every training session you need to turn up and you need to be on your A game. It definitely adds to the tempo and intensity of training.”

After joining Rangers from Hibs in January, the 22-year-old says she is feeling the benefits of being part of a full-time environment.
She continued: “I feel like I am pushed in every training session, the players encourage me to become better and it is really key.
“It has been amazing to have a full-time contract and to really be able to put all my focus into football and really take my time to look at what I need to improve on.
“All the coaching staff and backroom staff are there to help as well so having that support is major.”
Rangers travel to Edinburgh this weekend to face Spartans on Sunday. The Gers ran out 3-1 winners in a pre-season friendly a few weeks ago, but Chelsea expecting another difficult game.
“We are all looking forward to kicking it back off and hopefully managing to get another win.

“We know what we are going to be facing, they are a tough team to break down but we just need to go into that game like we would any other and hopefully we can get the three points.”
