The Light Blues go into the game with the Ayrshiremen on an outstanding run of form which continued last night with an excellent 1-0 Europa League win over Lech Poznan at Ibrox.
Boss Gerrard knows it’ll be a tough test at Rugby Park this weekend, and told RangersTV: "First and foremost, we have to make sure who's available today. Then, we will decide on a team we think is capable of going there and getting the three important points we need.
"I think when you are playing against a block, you have to have variety in your play - of course you do.
"Obviously, I don't want to give too much away but it is important we move the ball very quickly and you have variety in your play so you are not predictable and not everything is in front of the Killie defence.
"I think the pitch certainly helps them to play that way as well, so we know it is a tricky game and we know it is a tough place, and we know our record could and should be better over at Rugby Park.
"But it is another fresh game - it is an opportunity to go there and try to put in a good performance and we couldn't be in a better place really as our form is good at the moment.
"People are healthy, people are fresh and people are ready."
Gerrard went on to give an injury update following the Lech match, continuing: "We have a couple that we are going to assess this morning. Alfredo took a kick in the calf area that we will look at this morning, and also, Ryan Jack in a similar area as well.
"We will have a look at them this morning - I don't think they're too serious but they are definitely something that needs looking at today.
"It is a quick turnaround and we have to remain focused and move on very quickly from last night's performance and win, and switch our attention to a right tricky game over at Rugby Park.
"But we will be ready - we are in a good place, we are in good form, players are happy, staff are happy and we will go over there and give it our best."
It was this week confirmed Scotland will have five European spots for next season – up from the current four – with two of them being Champions League places.
That additional place can be attributed to the hard work done by Rangers in European competition over the last few years, and Gerrard said: "We are all very proud here at Rangers with the job we've done from a European point of view since we have come in.

"But we need to try to continue to push and keep improving ourselves, and everyone else who is representing the country from a European point of view.
"But it is fantastic for the country that there are extra places - but at the same time, all the teams have to continue to keep trying to do as well as they can to maintain those positions because as quick as they come or as hard as we have had to work for them to come, they can be taken away as well."
Much of Rangers’ relative success so far this season has been down to the strength-in-depth Gerrard now has at his disposal.
Leon Balogun came back into the side for Lech last night and had a superb performance, and Gerrard added: "I like to have four centre-backs in the squad, and I like to have different types of centre-backs and to try and cover all bases for different types of games.
"He is an international player, he is very quick and he has got a fantastic profile - a profile we like in that area - and he has come in and settled-in very quickly and has been putting in some real, consistent performances.
"Leon is one we have to manage in-terms of his body - he has had some injuries in the past where he needs looking after, and the same with [Filip] Helander where we lost him for three months last season which hurt us a lot.
"So it is about managing the individual players physically - but from their point of view, they all have to be ready to perform as four doesn't go into two.
"So they have to make sure their form is there and individually they are performing consistently to stay in the team."
