The Gers were pegged back midway through the second half despite creating opportunities aplenty in the contest.
Indeed, the Light Blues couldn’t quite find a route past Ava Easdon in the Thistle goal beyond Kirsty Howat’s opening goal, which bore resemblance to their midweek defeat to Hearts in the capital.
However, the away side kept their poise to net twice in the final ten minutes and return to winning ways in the SWPL.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, the midfielder said: “We’re buzzing to get the three points on the board. It doesn’t always need to be the prettiest of games, but the most important thing is getting the win.
“The key is that we kept calm, we were patient, and we knew that the goals would come. We done exactly that.
“There have been times when we have perhaps struggled with that, but there was a resilience to the team throughout and we knew those goals would come.”
Rangers were indebted to their second half substitutes as Nicola Docherty supplied Sarah Ewens for the go-ahead goal six minutes from time.
Rachel Rowe then got in on the act moments later to seal the victory, highlighting the strength in depth at Potter’s disposal.
The Light Blues will now shift their attention to next weekend’s Old Firm clash at Hampden Park, with a place in the Scottish Cup final at stake.
She added: “We can bring on anyone in the squad and it doesn’t impact the starting team. It’s great to see that we can do that.
“We’re at a tough stage in the league and it’s tight. We know that every game is really important, so we’re just focussing on the next one.
“We’re all buzzing [for next weekend]. It’s at Hampden as well, which is a dream to play at. The pitch is looking good and we’re all excited to play.”
