The Gers boss believed it was a well-deserved three points for his side as goals from Cyriel Dessers and James Tavernier continued the unbeaten run under Clement.
St Johnstone were reduced to 10-men in the first-half, after a challenge from Daillang Jaiyesimi on John Lundstram saw him shown a straight-red card.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time Clement said: “We kept our concentration because it is difficult to play against 10-men that are so deep.
"There are no spaces any more to make actions, so it is important that you keep your organisation, and you give away chances.
“I don't think Jack [Butland] had to make one save today so that is important, and you get a well-deserved three points. A lot of players could get in rhythm, and we could rest a few players today.”
The manager was disappointed by the tackle on Lundstram, as he revealed he could lose the midfielder until the winter break, with Kemar Roofe also coming off early in the game through injury.
Clement continued: “I am very disappointed that again a player is kicked-off the pitch with Lundstram, so that is a really bad thing and I hope we can get him back before the winter break but it will not be easy.
“Kemar felt a muscle problem so that is also really disappointing. I wanted to give him the minutes and he was growing and getting better, and he felt good in the days before the game.
"He was very motivated but had to come off so we will make an assessment in the next couple of days.
“The injuries are in positions where we have already lost a lot of players, we don't have too many anymore. Kieran Dowell played a good game in a position that he doesn't normally play in midfield, Dujon [Sterling] had to come in, also a player who is not a midfielder, so in some positions it is really a big puzzle for the moment.”
