The Ibrox gaffer led the squad to Viaplay Cup glory against Aberdeen at Hampden last month.
Now the Belgian boss is gearing up for his first taste of Scottish Cup action away to Dumbarton tomorrow afternoon.
Clement is looking forward to getting back to competitive action after friendlies against Hertha Berlin and Copenhagen during the winter break.
The Gers gaffer has studied the League Two side, and while he knows the pitch may not be the best, he refuses to have any excuses for his players if they don’t get the result he wants.
He added: "I am looking forward to important games.
"Friendly games are also important to get players minutes to prepare them for the second half of the season.
"Now it is an important game.
"We have seen a lot of Dumbarton. The pitch is really bad, but it is what it is.
"I don't want excuses for my players. I said before if we have to play in a car park to win a game we have to do that.
"Is it a good way for football in those circumstances? Maybe not, but we don't decide the rules.
"We are playing a game and we will do our best to make it as good as possible.
"With a bad pitch will the quality go down in the football? Yes.
"We saw the difference between the Hertha Berlin and Copenhagen game due to the difference in the pitch.
"We need to adapt but I feel the team is ready and hungry to be back in competitive games.
"They have been working really hard in training and they were really tired after the training camp.
"But I see a real freshness in the boys again."
