With a change in schedule this week, the manager says there will be no excuses as they head for the Highlands in another crucial Scottish Premiership clash.
Clement also revealed that Mohamed Diomande will not be part of the squad in Dingwall having had an operation on his thumb this morning.
Speaking to the media at this afternoon’s pre-match press conference, Clement said: “Ross County are super motivated, and they want to do something special, so it is always the case, and we have respect for every opponent. They played a good game at Ibrox, and we know we need to play a really good game to get the three points, so we are focused on that now.
“We had to change plans, it is a different preparation but it is no excuse towards the game on Sunday. I am not somebody who wants to have excuses, if we need to change plans, we always adapt to the situation but of course if I see things that are not normal, I speak about it, but we will always adapt to win games.”
When asked about the postponement of the match at Den’s Park, Clement shared his frustration at having the game called-off for a second time.
He continued: “We were preparing everything to get the three points, so all our focus was on that. The situation was clear a few weeks before, and it has been a problem for a long time. For us, it is the second time that the game is postponed, and it is five games this season.
“It is for sure not pointed at the manager of Dundee, and at the players because they are the victim also of this situation. I want to make this really clear because they are having a really good season, and they are also frustrated.
“We just want to play the game, we have a very busy schedule. There are a lot of things around it too with all the fans coming from Wales, England, Northern Ireland and from all over the place.
“This is really bad for the image of football in Scotland, and everybody needs to realise that. It needs to be avoided so it is important to make the right decisions, and this cannot happen anymore.”
