A double for Cyriel Dessers and a header from John Souttar secured the points in the Scottish Premiership in a match which saw Rangers carve out 23 shots on target at Ibrox.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, Clement said: “It is a new record for this season 23 shots on target, so we made wave after wave after wave of attack with good football, with good combination play, good chances and in moments good finishes.
“The goalkeeper played the game of his life and there were a few times he was also lucky in situations so that part we didn't really have today the luck and they got one chance, and they scored one goal.
“I think it was a really positive game and you see the team growing week by week month by month, so we need to continue doing what we have been doing.
“You need a little bit of luck and a few times we hit the post also but, in the end, it is important to have the win after the 90 minutes and to score enough goals.”
Clement insists it is now about his squad continuing to work hard as he praised their spirit and hunger in this evening’s match.
He continued: “There was a hunger not only for scoring but for winning the ball. We had more than 70 per cent ball possession, we were really tough in our pressing and that is also getting better so there are a lot of positive points after this evening.
“I don't think one person in the stadium today would have thought four months ago we would be where the team is today. It is now about continuing working hard on that, making things better, going into details and keep on doing what we have been doing but to be hungry and be ambitious which is what the team showed today.”
