It has been an impressive start to the year with eight victories in a row for the Light Blues, and Clement knows opposition teams will be out to try and break the run.
He is expecting a difficult test in Perth but wants to see ambition from his side as they aim to build on recent form.
Speaking to the media at this afternoon’s pre-match press conference, he said: “It is always special the away games, there is a different kind of surface than at Ibrox and teams who are super-motivated to play against Rangers.
“The longer you have a series of games that you win the more hungry the opponent is to break that so it is going to be a hard game.
“I ask my players every game to score as many goals as possible, there is no difference there, it is not that we score three goals and I say that is enough. I have pushed the players from the first day and I want them to be ambitious from the first second until the last second to take the maximum out of every game.
“There’s still a lot to become better, we have three new players who are just in the building. Fabio [Silva] a little bit longer but Oscar [Cortes] and Diomande are just here so they need to get used to everything: how to play, how their teammates run and the timings. They are already doing a lot of good things.
“We had a lot of players injured in December, at one moment it was 11 or 12 players, and we have players returning from long term injuries, so they are not at their top game at the moment.
“I don't have the feeling that there is one player in this squad who is at their maximum and they cannot become better. There is still a lot of progress to make and in our work together to have the right timings and to do the right things at the right moments.”
On team news, the manager revealed Rabbi Matondo will miss the trip to Perth after picking up a muscle injury in Wednesday evening’s victory over Ross County, but Leon Balogun will be welcomed back into the squad.
He continued: “That is why I changed Rabbi at half-time, he had a small muscle injury so he went for a scan, and it is clear there is a small thing so he will not be available for this game. I think he will be back short term but for sure he will not be able to play this weekend.
“Leon Balogun comes back, so we made adjustments with his mask, and he can be in the selection. That is something for me to decide ahead of the game on Sunday.”
When asked about Rangers’ threat at set-pieces, the manager said he has been looking at that this week. He continued: “It is an interesting question because I have been looking deeper into that. I had a feeling we didn't create enough but if you see the data, we are doing quite well but we underperformed in scoring goals because we hit the crossbar a few times and there were also really good saves from goalkeepers.
“The goalkeepers overperformed against us until now in the data if you speak about expected goals. Can it be better? Of course, it would be boring if it could not be better, so we are working on that before every game to do the right things.”
