The defender turned home a Charlie Lindsay corner kick at the end of the first half to head the Gers in front before they went on to claim victory.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win Allan was happy to produce the winner on the day and has praised his side’s response in coming from behind to win.
He said: “I am delighted with it, Charlie put it on a plate for me so it was just about trying to get my head on it and get it in the back of the net.
“It is good when it comes off, you have just got to attack with it pace and power and just get on the end of it.
“It was pleasing to turn it around, it is just part and parcel of the game, in some games you have to show that strength to come back.”
Allan knows the side had to find a different way to win after the comeback and has revealed the message from the coaches at the break in their attempt to see out the win.
“We just tried to slow the game down a bit and try play in their half more, at times we had to get ready to defend,” he continued.
“We just had to play in their half and continue to move the ball about and try take our opportunities when they came.
“At times we had to dig deep, it was tough conditions and the pitch is quite heavy so it was good to take the three points in the end.
“We just take it into the next game and hopefully we can take this win and move forward.”
