The Light Blues continued their 100 per cent start to the new SPWPL season with a 3-0 away success over Motherwell, as they claimed a fourth win in succession.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the 90 minutes, she commented: “I think that is the most important thing, the three points, three goals and another clean sheet which is always nice.
“I thought we were a bit sticky in the first half, I don't think we moved the ball as well as we wanted to, probably overcomplicated what we were trying to do and doing things that weren't necessary.
“But that is just us probably looking at all the things that we have tried to use and ultise throughout pre-season, into Europe and obviously that early part of the season and we have freshened up the group again today.
“Made changes to try and utilise the squad and be fair to everybody because the whole group is training really well, working really hard and we are going to need the group, certainly over the next couple of months.
“I thought in terms of that those are the real positives, the goals, the points and the utilisation of the squad.
“You could see the togetherness and the energy in the second half as well which I think is really important that we finish games as strongly as we start them, but ultimately really pleased.
“It is another game ticked off and another one that we can bank and move on.”
On a day her side weren’t at their best, she said patience was key in finding the breakthrough as they produced what matters to continue their recent momentum.
She continued: “Every game is different, every opposition that we come up against is a different type of challenge and we knew Motherwell were going to try and do something different to try and stump us and stop us getting into any sort of rhythm, which I felt they did in the first half.
“A lot of that down to us and how we moved the ball and probably didn't move the ball well enough and a lot of that down to them and how organised they were and banking numbers behind the ball, shutting off the middle of the pitch, making it really condensed.
“We just need to better in those moments, but I think the timing of the goals certainly just before half time and getting the second goal quite quickly after the start of the second half was important as well and that was the message at half time that we wanted to see that response.
“Again somebody like Brogan Hay coming in as well, we are trying to build Brogan's minutes and get her back up to full match fitness.
“Frustrated that you need to take her out at half time because you want to try and give her that opportunity to go and build confidence and grow in this type of game.
“I thought the players that come on also made a difference in the second half as well and give us that freshness and energy that we needed.
“First half the conditions as well, it is bright and sunny and the pitch was really sticky and then the second half it is bucketing down with rain and the pitch is really slick and fast and that takes us a little bit time to adjust and get to grips with that as well.
“It is different types of challenges that we have overcome which is important.
“We always felt in control of the game, it was just that end product and that final part.”
The former Scotland international was pleased to witness summer signing Hannah Blake open her account for the club by doubling the advantage on the day, as she assessed what’s to come for the team with a crucial period awaiting following a two-week break until their next outing.
She added: “It was nice to see and those are the small milestones that build and galvanise the group and give us that confidence that we are moving in the right direction.
“I have been so pleased with the start that we had in the season. I think last week's challenge against Hearts, moving again into a different type of challenge.
“We now go without a game for a week then we go into a really condensed period with five games in 14 days.
“We know what is coming and we are looking forward to that so it is just really important that we look after our business, that we are really professional in these moments as well and that we credit every opponent that we come up against but ultimately back ourselves to go and get results.”
