A Katie Wilkinson finish, followed by second half strikes from Quinty Sabajo and Laura Berry saw the Gers claim a 3-0 victory over Motherwell at K-Park this afternoon.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the team’s latest outing, she commented: “I am really pleased, I thought it was as close to a 90-minute performance as we've had this season.
“I felt the consistency levels throughout the game were really good, disappointed with the amount of chances that we have passed up.
“I know it looks comfortable in the scoreline and we are really happy but we created so much more and I think there will still be a frustration amongst the group as there is from the technical staff as well this afternoon that we've not put more chances created away.
“But some really good stuff, real good play and I think the strength and depth to the squad was there today as well that we could finish the game as strong as we started it.
“It is not something for me a clean sheet becomes a kind of pressure moment if you focus on that.
“I think naturally the way you can control games and dictate the play and how you execute the game plan, more often than not should set you up well enough for that. I know it is something this week that the players have spoken an awful lot about.
“That they way want to take so much more pride in those types of moments that we don't concede cheap goals and cheap moments that put us under pressure.
“I personally could see that they were really focused on that this afternoon which was excellent.
“I think the way that we played the game in the opposition half that there was much more focus on how we moved the ball and that we penetrated when it was on and we worked Motherwell into their defensive half.
“The way that our players dealt with that and went about their business was really good.”
The Light Blues welcomed Kim Shin Ji back into the starting lineup following injury whilst Li Mengwen made her return from international duty as a second half sub.
Crichton was happy to see the squad getting stronger and felt that helped with the consistency in their display.
She continued: “Good to get players back? Excellent, that is what I say about the strength and depth of the squad.
“It is not something that we have had an awful lot this season I would need to say.
“Normally at the points of games creep on you find you having to weaken the team to make changes, and that is not because of the quality that we have got it is because we have players that have returned from injury that have been limited to minutes that are coming on that you can't bring players on because they can only play 15 minutes.
“So you are really having to then focus the substitutions and the impact players around what we have got at our disposal.
“Whereas I felt this afternoon we could make the changes at the points that we wanted too when we needed it.
“I felt the quality that came into the game enhanced the group as well and I think that for the players on the pitch would be really pleasing as well that you have that same quality coming on as the players that are leaving.”
The league now signs off for the final international break of 2025 and the Head Coach wishes the several Gers away proudly representing their nations all the best before they return to domestic commitments for their final three outings of the year next month.
She added: “We wish everybody well. We hope that we can get them back in the same fitness and manner in which they'll leave.
“We take so much pride in it as a club; we love the fact that players are involved and they are travelling all over the world representing so many different nations over the international period whether its friendly or competitive matches.
“Hopefully they can use that as an opportunity to switch off from club football, to be in a different group and environment and come back ready for that cup match which we are looking forward to as well.
“We can switch the focus to that now and it gives us a little bit of time in terms of the time off for the players that need it and a bit of rest for the mind and then we'll go again.”
