The head coach was speaking to the media this afternoon ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash at Parkhead and insists they are ready for the challenge.
He said: “I can say it is just three points, but this game is never just about three points. There is an emotional side, but it would be a big boost to get the win.
“On the other hand, if you can't win this game, then the season is still on, and I think we showed after the Hearts game what it means to come straight back with big results. We need a long run this season, and if we do this, I see a big belief.
“It is my first one in their stadium, in the last few years I had some derbies as well, but this is a special one. Even when you are not in Glasgow, you watch this game, and this is always on your mind; a lot of people will watch it.
"It is a great opportunity to show where we are at the moment and what is possible this season, and we are ready for it.”
On what it would mean for his team to get the victory in the first game of 2026, he said: “It would be amazing, not just for me but for our supporters. The atmosphere in the semi-final was outstanding in the second half. It is now for us to take something tomorrow, it would be fantastic, and for this we need a big, big performance.
“It is about us and how we start in such a game. I believe if we are right there and on the front foot, then we can win some good balls and hurt them, but if they create some good moments in the beginning, then I think the crowd will be straight behind them.
“I see a lot of players growing, and every win helps to create confidence. It will be an emotional game for both teams. Both teams will try to do something in this game, but we are prepared for this.
“In the last couple of weeks, we have had some ups and downs, but I see more things I like, and if we continue this, we are in a good way.”
