It was challenging conditions in the north-east as the rain and wind swirled, but the Gers were in control from start to finish as they made it five wins on the spin.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, a delighted Röhl beamed: “It was outstanding from the group but also our fans.
“To come here on a Sunday evening, not nice weather, a long trip, and to give them three points is a great feeling.
“We made a good job on the pitch and off the pitch too. It was good game management today, a clean sheet, five wins in a row – let’s carry on this momentum.
“It was a good day with the signing too. All in all, I’m happy, and I feel as if the group is growing in the right direction.
“It’s awesome to see the connection between the fans and the players. It’s growing more and more.
“There’s a big trust at the moment. It’s a good result, but nothing more.
“I’m hungry and the team is hungry, and now we enjoy the next hours and go again.”
The Gers cracked open the scoring through Thelo Aasgaard from another well-worked corner routine, before the visitors went up a gear in the second period and merited the second of the afternoon through a James Tavernier spot-kick.
Pittodrie has traditionally been a tough venue for the Gers, but they displayed character and quality in abundance to continue their positive momentum.
Röhl added: “We played nice football, good organisation and structure, and the three midfielders done a fantastic job with Nico [Raskin], Diomande and Thelo.
“It was an important win. I’m happy and I’ll enjoy the trip back. It means again we need to work hard to continue this way.
“How did we manage the conditions? It wasn’t easy. You need to be very strong and ready for the fight.
“You’ll never get a gift here. When you arrive here you feel straight away where you are. But we delivered the right answer with three points and that’s what is most important.
“This week we have showed against the same opponent that we have developed from game to game with our performance.
“We played a good game on Tuesday, but today was different. We created good opportunities in the second half and we should score earlier to make it 2-0 or 3-0 where it’s really done, but in the end we defended until the end and we got a clean sheet.
“This is the basis and if we do this again and again we will be in a fantastic way. Keep on the front foot, stay hungry, stay ambitious, and be humble in the right moments.”
