Goals in either half from Thelo Aasgaard and a James Tavernier penalty secured a 2-0 victory for the Light Blues.
Midfielder Diomande praised the squad for the performance in tough conditions at Pittodrie as they made it five straight league wins.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “We are happy as we wanted to come here and get the three points and we have done that.
“We showed our character as the conditions were not great and we knew that. But we did what we had to do to get the three points.
“We stuck together as a team and we did well from the set pieces, as well as keeping a clean sheet.
“We are getting some momentum, everyone is training hard. We do a lot of analysis to try to get better.
“I want to mention the fans, they were so loud. It was a difficult trip to come here, but we have given them the three points and hopefully they go home as happy as we are.”
The Ivory Coast international is looking forward to linking up again with Gers new boy Tochi Chukwuani.
The duo have known each other since their teens and played together at Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
Now they will reunite at Ibrox and Diomande believes his old friend will be right at home in Glasgow.
He added: “He is a big character and a good lad.
“He is very physical and a technical player. Under pressure he is good with the ball. He will bring his abilities and he will help us.
“It is great to see him joining me here. We had some bad luck with Connor Barron being injured, but hopefully we can count on Tochi to fit in and help the team.”
