The B Team boss spoke exclusively to RangersTV after today’s dominating win against Gretna. He expressed how he felt each half went and how the squad can learn from that.
He said: “I think the first half was a bit below the standard that the guys have set in previous games, I think we became a bit sloppy.
“Half-time was probably just about resetting the focus, I thought that the second half was an excellent performance. The break was a conversation about the level that we want to hit on the pitch, if we just accept ‘okay’ then that’s not good enough. The players were setting a level and demand in the second half.”
It's another quick turnaround for the Light Blues as they face University of Stirling on Tuesday night in the Lowland League.
McCallum added what the team will be doing to prepare for their next fixture, adding: “We’ll look back on today to make sure that we can learn as much as we possibly can.
“We need to learn from what happened today, a lot of it is down to focus and ensuring that their head keeps making the right decisions.”
