Davis: Focus Is On Winning

STEVEN Davis spoke to the press today ahead of Rangers second meeting with Malmo in the Champions League qualifying round tomorrow night.

The Light Blue scored a critical goal for the squad against the Swedish side last week to putt them in good stead for the game tomorrow night He discussed the importance for the team to remain calm in high magnitude games.

He said: “You have to try and remain calm; we want to try and play with our intensity and controlled aggression. We are at our best when we play with our control and balance.

“I thought Malmo are a good side and they carry a threat, it wasn't the result we wanted from the first-leg, but we have belief in ourselves. It should be a good contest.

“We have to go out and win the game and that is all our focus is on.”

The Ger highlighted his excitement to welcome a full house back at Ibrox and how their support will drive the squad on in the challenging fixture. He continued: “It has been a long time since we have had a full house. We are really looking forward to getting the fans back in and having them behind us for a difficult fixture.

“I'm sure they are all buzzing and we need to give them a performance.”
