Rangers will welcome Malmo to a sold out Ibrox tomorrow night in their second meeting with the Swedish side.
The manager highlighted the importance for himself and the squad to ignore the external noise and focus on the game at hand, he said: “When you are involved in a club of this magnitude, it would be very naive and unhelpful to listen to outside noise.
We have a lot of belief and confidence in each other.
“We are 90 minutes away from flipping the mood and kickstarting our season with a top performance. I’m not concerned with external noise even though we don’t really listen to it anyway.
“We only need one performance to light the fire again. I expect a good performance tomorrow.
The Rangers boss continued to underline the focus for tomorrow nights game and his excitement to hear a full Ibrox roar behind the squad in a long time. He added: “We can tap into the positives from previous occasions and that gives us confidence and belief, we have more options to throw at the game this week. I am really excited; we have a lot of respect for Malmo, but it is a game we are ready for.
“It is important we keep a clean sheet, but we have to be aggressive and be positive looking for goals. In most games when we have been set a challenge these boys have delivered, and I have confidence we can do it again.
“We haven't played at a full crowd at Ibrox in a long time, we are really looking forward to a full house. I am in no doubt they will turn up full of noise and passion and is up to us to match that.”
