The midfield maestro was speaking ahead of the visit of St Mirren to Ibrox tomorrow, and reflected on the incredible consistency Rangers have shown in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.
The Northern Ireland captain explained: "Overall in-terms of the squad, there has been an improvement there and also in-terms of our patience and our calmness in games, and I think that has been evident.
"Of course, whenever you have that approach and you get a result from it, then you get the confidence from doing it that way as well.
"So that is something we have certainly improved on as a whole. But of course, the experience that we have in the squad and the experience even the younger players have gained over the last couple of seasons being together and the pressures that come with playing for this club have definitely helped put ourselves in this position."
Davis was also asked about the spirit in the squad off the back of Gers netting a late winner against Livingston on Wednesday night.
He continued: "We knew going there the other night it was going to be a difficult game - it always is and they ask questions of you.
"So it was about trying to be patient. Of course, we would have liked to have got ourselves ahead earlier in the game, but whenever you do score so late on, it is always special and took us another step closer to what we want to achieve.
"In modern day football, it is game after game, so you try to enjoy those special little moments whenever they come along and after the game, we reset our focus and look forward to tomorrow's game.
"We have worked very hard to get ourselves in this position. We have shown an unbelievable level of consistency so far and this is the next game that is in front of us.
"We want to try and take care of that and see what the rest of the weekend brings after that.
"But we are obviously very close and very excited about trying to get over the line as soon as possible, and we just need to try and concentrate on ourselves and the game tomorrow first and foremost."
