The Gers will firstly take on Inter later today in a pre-season clash as preparations continue for the competitive football returning in the middle of next month.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to a challenging week with two tough tests, the skipper commented: “It is really exciting.
"We obviously got the chance to play top opposition last season as well in our pre-season fixtures so I think it is really important that the club has given us the opportunity to do that and playing against different styles of play.
“It is going to be a slightly different challenge to what we played at the weekend. Obviously we played against Middlesbrough and they liked to sit in against us a little bit more but I think when you come up against top opposition like Inter and AC it is going to be a tough opposition.
“Look we are here to focus on ourselves, making sure that we get what we need to out of these games and what we want to do going into the season and it will certainly be that.
“We always want to aspire to do more. When you represent this club we want to be at the top our game but we know that against that you are going to be playing against top opposition.
“It is good experience for us to be playing against that. We know it is going to be a really physical game and it is going to create different challenges for us but we are more than ready for that.
“We have had a really good pre-season so far, it is going to be a good game and hopefully we can come out on top as well.”
The defender has spoken of the benefits of spending a training week away in warm weather conditions, having experienced plenty of camps as a player during her career so far.
She continued: “This is what it is all about when you come away on these trips it is a great opportunity and experience for the young players that are coming in.
“I think when you are a younger player you sometimes train with us at the training centre but when you are in this environment you are with each other all the time. Team meetings, meal times, in the gym and on the pitch.
“Overall it is a great experience for them but it is obviously great for the new players that are coming in as well.
“Recovery? It is going to be massive, we have obviously got great staff around us as well to make sure that we are recovering in the best way possible, but we have got a big squad here and it is good that we have got that and we can adapt to those different situations that we are going to be in.
“They are going to be two tough games but it is important that everybody gets minutes as well because it is also important that too many people aren’t playing too many minutes at this part of the season.
“It will be a good opportunity for everyone to get game time.
“It is obviously really tough, even just training with that little bit of the heat.
“Scottish people don't really adapt well to hot weather training but the girls have come back from their summer holidays in really good condition.
“You could see that in the fitness testing results and the girls are in great condition.
“We have come out here and everybody is looking really good and really strong as well.”
The 32-year-old has spoken of the time back together so far having returned as a squad from their summer break on July 8. Having had uncertainty around the head coach the captain says has been up to her to make sure business continues as usual and the squad are in the best position possible for their SWPL opener against Montrose.
She added: “We have always remained a tight knit group and we know the manager situation just now but is important for us and myself and Kathy and the leadership group to make sure that we keep the group together and I feel like we have did that.
“Everyone is in a really good head space and we are just looking forward to the season starting now.
“Pre-season has been excellent; I think the way that the players have come back it has been really good and obviously the training in hot weather as well it will stand you in good stead coming into the season.
“We want to start the league strong. It is similar to what we did last season because that is what we did.
“We want to be going into that game in the best suitable position. The fitness is there for the girls and there is only going to be more match fitness coming out from these two games and the game next week as well.
“It is a really good opportunity for us to get more minutes in the legs and be more than ready for the season starting.”
