It looks set to be a testing encounter for the Gers in their pre-season camp of Northern Italy, as they face off against last season’s Serie A runners-up in a week that will see them take on both Milan clubs preparation for the new SWPL season starting.
Telma Ivarsdottir is named in goal for this one, behind a back three of Leah Eddie, captain Nicola Docherty and Fallon Connolly-Jackson, who makes her first start for the club.
Alice Griffiths is also named in the starting lineup for the first time after featuring off the bench in the weekend’s win over Middlesbrough, she is joined in a midfield two alongside Jodi McLeary. Wingers Brogan Hay and Lizzie Arnot will start on the flanks.
Mia McAulay will operate in the number 10 position from the get-go, with Kirsty Howat and Katie Wilkinson starting in attack.
On the substitutes bench for Rangers is Jenna Fife, Laura Berry, May Cruft, Sophie Townsley, Sophie Black and Lily Boyce.
